Habakkuk 2:2-3 CJB
Then Adonai answered me; he said, “Write down the vision clearly on tablets, so that even a runner can read it. For the vision is meant for its appointed time; it speaks of the end, and it does not lie.
It may take a while, but wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay."
This verse assumes a question has been asked, because it gives an anwser. Are you asking? So often we assume the Lord will communicate the vision through others. In order to understand what His vision is for our own life, we need to ask the Lord. Write down what you hear Him saying.
In Matthew 7 Jesus instructs us to ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking, knock and keep on knocking. We will get the answers, we will find what we're looking for, doors will be opened as He promises in Matthew 7.
Mt 7:7-12 CJB
“Keep asking, and it will be given to you; keep seeking, and you will find; keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who keeps asking receives; he who keeps seeking finds; and to him who keeps knocking, the door will be opened. Is there anyone here who, if his son asks him for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? So if you, even though you are bad, know how to give your children gifts that are good, how much more will your Father in heaven keep giving good things to those who keep asking him!
“Always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that sums up the teaching of the Torah and the Prophets."
I want to share with you a list of the words we heard from the Lord during our RMSR leaders meeting this past Monday when we were asking about the coming year.
Wholesome
Pure
Appointed Time (kairos moments)
Ask, Seek and Knock - Don't Stop
Good Fortune
Outpouring
When you read these words, what kind of vision statement would you develop to guide you in 2025? We received these words as Sozo leaders. You can get your own list directly from the Lord.
Get alone with the Lord with your family, or your ministry group, whoever you want to hear from the Lord for in the coming year. Ask the Holy Spirit - what do you want to show us, or tell us, about the coming year? Then write down what you see, hear, feel or sense He is saying. Then say, 'Holy Spirit, help me write out the vision and make it plain for (myself, my family, my ministry) for 2025.'
Here's an example of a statement Pastor Bill is working on drawn from the list above.
"In 2025 we are to expect greater wholesomeness, this includes moral and physical well-being. We are to be balanced, full and completely prepared for every good work. We can ask the Lord daily to purify our hearts. Seek Him for anything we don't understand and knock on every door we want Him to open - whether wisdom, more grace or clear direction.
This is just a start. I will keep working on this statement for several days and will make the vision I am seeing plain in our next newsletter." Pastor Bill
